Stephanie (she/her) is the Policy & Data Analyst at GRACE and specializes in community-based research and data visualization. She is a visual storyteller and uses her skills in grassroots organizing, communications, and research to amplify the narratives of communities of color.
Above all else, Stephanie is a proud first-generation Indonesian immigrant and Asian American activist. Her activism revolves around building Black and Asian solidarity and challenging the model minority myth. She began her career as a grassroots organizer, serving as the Communications Director of Hip Hop For Change. While there, she designed an Afro-Asian solidarity curriculum that she presented at schools, events, and companies across the country. Later, she pivoted into policy-oriented work with Planned Parenthood Advocacy Project and the USC Sol Price Center for Social Innovation, working on the Neighborhood Data for Social Change team. Collaborating with South LA stakeholders, coalitions, and community organizations grounded her in community-based policy research and advocacy. She carries these intersecting identities and diverse experiences with her as she continues to serve our communities and ignite systems change.
Stephanie received her Master of Public Policy from the University of Southern California and her B.A. in Global Studies from the University of California, Berkeley.
She loves being from Los Angeles and immersing herself in the beauty of her city and community. She enjoys creating and consuming art, cake decorating, reading, and eating delicious authentic food!
