ECPCA Coalition Map Data Sources:

All poverty data can be attributed to the Public Policy Institute of California’s estimates from their California Poverty Measure (CPM) during the first quarter of 2023. The CPM accounts for local differences in the cost of living and diverse safety net resources that families use to meet their needs, similar to the Census Supplemental Poverty Measure.

Congressional district data on Californians benefiting from social safety net programs was graciously provided by the California Budget and Policy Center. Please see their page for additional data sources and years.
