Transforming the Narrative
We promote a systemic framework of poverty that replaces individual narratives rooted in white supremacy. We share the history of economic injustice, the real impact of poverty on people’s lives, and the alternatives available to build a liberated future.
Economic Justice
We recognize the obstacles our low-income communities are facing and the effects of economic insecurity on children and families. We work toward equitable policies that dismantle barriers to success, expand access to opportunities, and create new pathways to prosperity.
Social Safety Net
We believe that meeting people’s basic needs is the floor, not the ceiling. We engage in social safety net advocacy that extends and strengthens the programs, services, and investments that safeguard people from harm and facilitate stability and overall well-being.
Cradle to Career
We see effective poverty prevention as a collective effort that begins with our youngest children and families and uplifts all of us. We champion a range of solutions that promote child, family, and community health and happiness at all ages.
